Another year and another huge showing for the Venice Vintage Motorcycle Rally. The club does a brilliant job organizing the annual event. Starts off with a morning group ride to Malibu along the PCH and reconvenes back to the rally location in the heart of Venice. This year we were blessed with beautiful California weather. Most of the booths were Venice vendors mixed in with a few from other parts of LA. A motorcycle rally with a little local twist. Music, bike show, custom bike raffle built by local builder Shannon Sweeney of SS Classics and of course the pinup contest, to say the least.
It took me more that an hour just to get through the parking lot. Hundreds of bikes to see and most of them were ridden there that day. Some I spoke with rode their vintage motorcycles from as far away as Long Beach, braving surface streets, packing tools and spares. Community is what it is all about and it never disappoints with the VVMC annual rally.
Here are some details to help picture the day in case you missed it.
